I, the Applicant, hereby expressly give the Ngwato Nkosi Group (“NNG”) permission to collect and process any of my personal information as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act (No. 4 of 2013) ("POPIA") and the associated regulations. This can be done:
1. Purpose of Data Collection and Processing:
- For any legitimate purposes connected with my potential employment, including but not limited to maintaining personal contact details, complying with applicable legislation, occupational health and safety, security and access control, employment and other credit references, and similar purposes.
- To comply with laws and other measures designed to protect or advance persons, or categories of persons, disadvantaged by unfair discrimination.
- To protect NNG's legitimate interests.
- To perform obligations under law or contract, to protect my legitimate interests, or to pursue the legitimate interests of NNG or of a third party to whom the information is supplied.
- For recruitment purposes only and, should my application be successful, for purposes connected with my employment.
2. Definition of Processing:
For the purposes of this clause, "processing" refers to processing as defined in POPIA and includes but is not limited to collecting, receiving, recording, organizing, collating, storing, updating, retrieving, altering, using, disseminating, distributing, merging, linking, blocking, degrading, erasing, or destroying any personal information.
3. Types of Personal Information:
I understand that personal information includes but is not limited to:
- CV/Resume
- Employment history
- Contact details
- Physical address
- Email address
- Identification number/document
- Driver’s License number/card
- Ethnic group
- Qualifications
- References
- Integrity checks (Credit/Criminal, etc.)
4. Accuracy and Retention of Information:
I warrant that any and all personal information provided by me to NNG shall at all times be true and correct, and that the provision of inaccurate and/or misleading personal information shall constitute a serious offense. I confirm that NNG may retain my personal information in their database for future matching and employment opportunities. If I do not wish NNG to retain my details at any stage, I will email NNG directly ([email protected]) to request the deletion of my details from their database.
5. External Agencies:
NNG may pass my personal data to external agencies employed to assist in screening and interviewing prospective employees. These agencies will only use that data for services provided to NNG and/or its subsidiaries, and they will treat the data as confidential.
6. Declaration in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 ("the POPI Act"):
- NNG will process the personal information provided on this platform strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Act.
- NNG will process my information solely for the purposes the information was furnished to NNG.
- NNG will comply with the security and information protection obligations imposed on it in terms of the Act.
- NNG will comply with the retention obligations imposed on it in terms of the Act.

Registering my CV and/or receipt and acknowledgement of any kind by NNG shall not be an indication that my application will be successful and/or lead to employment.
